Job summary

UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Accountant for a downtown Detroit nonprofit-focused role. The position is hybrid, with several days in the office weekly, offering collaboration, meaningful work, and growth in accounting and financial analysis.

You will perform day-to-day accounting, support the month-end close, conduct reconciliations, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and prepare financial analyses and reports for management.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with spreadsheets and financial data.
• Exposure to financial analysis and reporting preferred.
• Nonprofit accounting experience a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities and support the month-end close process.

A great UHY client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a highly collaborative, mission-driven organization in downtown Detroit. This role offers the opportunity to support a mix of accounting and financial analysis activities, including reporting, reconciliations, spreadsheets, and other financial projects.

The Senior Accountant role is a hybrid position based in Detroit, MI, with 3 days in the office each week.
