IDR is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join one of our top clients for a direct-hire opportunity in Louisville, CO. This role will support revenue recognition, contract accounting, and financial reporting within a complex technology and government-contracting environment.

Position Overview for the Senior Revenue Accountant:
- Perform ASC 606 analysis for commercial and government contracts, including multi-element arrangements, milestone-based agreements, and custom-engineered systems.
- Review contracts to identify performance obligations and determine appropriate revenue-recognition treatment.
- Prepare revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and technical accounting documentation.
- Support monthly and quarterly close processes and ensure accurate revenue reporting.
- Monitor contract assets, deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, and other revenue-related accounts.
- Partner with program management, legal, FP&A, operations, and contracts teams.
- Maintain SOX-ready controls and support internal and external audits.
- Help improve revenue-accounting processes, controls, and reporting.
Requirements for the Senior Revenue Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field and an active CPA license.
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably across public accounting and industry.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP.
- Experience with long-term contracts, government contracting, milestone billing, or complex commercial agreements.
- Experience with monthly close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with SOX controls and audit support.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within technology, aerospace, defense, engineering, or another project-based industry.
- Public-company, SEC reporting, or public-company readiness experience.
Compensation Details:
$100,000–$140,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits.
