Job summary

Premier Truck Group, headquartered in Dallas, TX, is hiring a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. You will prepare financial statements, reconcile ledgers, post journal entries, and analyze variances to ensure accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in accounting, at least one year in a dealership environment, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook. You will support month-end close and provide daily dealership assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• At least 1 year experience in a dealership environment preferred.
• Experience in automotive sales/service/parts is a plus.
• Advanced MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding all business and employment issues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, statistical reports and bank reconciliations.
• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and post journal entries during month end close.
• Perform balance sheet and budget variance analyses and explain variances.
• Handle depreciation/fixed assets and factory payable reconciliations.
• Manage deposit reconciliation and balance sheet accounts.
• Audit sales analysis and manage payments & refunds to customers.
• Provide daily dealership assistance and support other duties as assigned.

Senior Account Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, statistical Reports and Bank Reconciliations
• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
• Prepare and post journal entries during month end close
• Perform balance sheet and budget comparison analysis and explain variances
• Responsible for dealership depreciation/fixed assets
• Responsible for dealership factory payable recon
• Responsible for deposit reconciliation/posting
• Responsible for balance sheet account reconciliation
• Responsible for calculation of sales and use tax
• Responsible for warranty-payments and credit memos
• Responsible for AP invoice approvals and verification
• Audit sales analysis
• Maintain and post/apply and verify all monies (i.e. down payments, deposits, credit card slips, refunds and bank wires) on truck sales
• Process customer refunds
• Provide daily dealership assistance
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Senior Account Requirements

• A college degree in accounting or a related field is required
• A minimum of one year experience in a dealership environment preferred
• Experience with the automotive sales, service and parts industry a plus
• Advanced level of experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding all business and employment issues.
• Operating all necessary office equipment.
