Job summary

LeoForce in Clovis, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting + Finance team. You will lead month-end close activities, supervise journal entries, and manage fixed assets, cash activity, and inventory reporting.

You will mentor junior staff, support AP/AR, ensure GAAP compliance, and deliver timely, accurate financial reporting for our growing farming business, with strong benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 4–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with BNA software and other accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and approve recurring and adjusting journal entries.
• Manage the fixed asset accounting process in BNA software.
• Oversee and reconcile daily cash activity to maintain cash flow reporting integrity.
• Review and analyze inventory balances and variances, preparing monthly cost of goods sold reports.
• Develop and maintain workpapers and documentation that align with policies.
• Provide guidance to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Maintain accurate vendor account information in the accounting system.
• Support and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Manage and prioritize the accounting team’s workload and deadlines.
• Assist management with performance discussions and identify areas for improvement.
• Perform additional accounting and financial duties as assigned.

As a Permanent Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our Accounting + Finance department. You will be responsible for leading assigned month-end close activities, overseeing adherence to established deadlines, and preparing, reviewing, and approving journal entries. In addition, you will manage the fixed asset accounting process, reconcile daily cash activity, and review and analyze inventory balances. You will also provide guidance to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, support and mentor junior accounting staff, and perform additional accounting and financial duties as assigned.
