Fooda, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance Team in Chicago. You will participate in monthly close, analyze variances, manage the general ledger, and prepare reports across reporting periods.
You will also support audits and drive process improvements to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in accounting, strong communication skills, and experience with NetSuite and MS Excel.
Our story began in 2011 when a group of office workers at a major logistics company in Chicago had a lunch problem. Nearby options were limited, and the team was spending too much time and money traveling to their favorite restaurants. They had an idea: bring Chicago’s local restaurant culture inside the office to sell food. It was an immediate hit. When they discovered people from other companies sneaking into their office, they knew they were on to something.
Fooda pioneered the concept of rotating popup restaurants inside offices. Today, we operate in 60 cities, have served over 100 million meals, and continue to grow rapidly. Powered by technology and a network of 1,500+ restaurants, we feed hungry people at work through a platform of unique food programs located within companies, office buildings, hospitals, schools, distribution centers, and more. At Fooda, we believe a workplace food program should be something employees love and look forward to every day.
Due to continued growth, Fooda is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to our Accounting and Finance Team. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, this role will offer exposure to all areas of Fooda’s business.
You have 3-5 years of experience between public and/or private firms. You can deep dive into all types of data and make sense out of it, as well as being a great problem solver and clear communicator. You want to provide ideas on current processes in order to streamline and implement new systems. You demonstrate high energy and passion, and want to continue to be challenged every day. You are super organized, great at multi-tasking, love to meet deadlines and always looking for ways to improve everything!
