LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing private Commercial Real Estate firm to identify a Senior Accountant to own core general ledger responsibilities while supporting fund-level accounting and investor reporting. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience.
• Exposure to fund accounting or real estate investment structures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for assigned entities, including journal entries, accruals, and prepaids.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy across the general ledger.
• Support fund accounting activities, including capital calls, distributions, and partner capital account maintenance.
• Assist with waterfall calculations, management fee and carried interest calculations, and allocation of income across investors.
• Prepare entity- and fund-level financial statements and support quarterly investor reporting packages.
• Manage intercompany activity and reconciliations across a multi-entity structure.
• Serve as a key point of contact for annual audits and tax preparation, coordinating with external auditors and CPA firms.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience - open to direct public accounting
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience in a multi-entity environment
• Exposure to fund accounting, private equity, or real estate investment structures strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of GAAP and partnership accounting concepts
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Yardi a plus
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing deadlines in a lean team environment
