InCommunity is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage month-end closing, journal entries, and reconciliations, while acting as a lead resource for audits. The role collaborates with the Controller and CFO on financial statements and analysis, and provides supervision to the accounting team.

The position requires a Bachelor in Accounting (or 5+ years’ equivalent) and experience with payroll entries, accruals, fixed assets, and forecasting. Travel is occasional.

All employees, including the Senior Accountant, are expected to model and promote the organization’s mission and values in every aspect of their work.**Position Summary:**The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing all aspects of InCommunity’s month end closing process and related journal entries and account reconciliations, as well as serving as a lead resource and project manager for financial audits. This position will provide leadership and support to other members of the finance team, and work directly with the Controller and CFO on financial statement preparation and analysis.**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:*** Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.* Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for all accounts.* Create and post to GL all payroll and department allocation entries.* Working with Controller and CFO to ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close and audit.* Review GL on monthly basis to ensure completeness and accuracy of accounts balances.* Responsible for payroll entries, payroll-related accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, allocations, miscellaneous deposits, and Due To/ Due From entries for all entities.* Monitor the financial and accounting procedures and performance of the company.* Supports budget and forecasting activities.* Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.* Maintain accounting template for 401K Plan.* Reconciliation of AR and AP for all entities.* Provide supervision and support to Accounting department* Support Controller, CFO and CEO with research, special projects and workflow process improvements.* Participate in the development of and support the company’s strategic plans.* Assist the Controller and CFO with board and finance committee presentations.* Performs other duties as assigned or required.## Qualifications**Education, Certifications & Experience Requirements**### Bachelor of Science or Arts in Accounting or a minimum of 5+ years comparable experience.### **Supervisory Responsibilities**This position supervises other members of the Finance team as needed and directed by the Controller and CFO.**Work Environment & Physical Demands**The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
