Our Senior Accountant role will support all aspects of accounting and reporting processes, have end-to-end process ownership to support operations, finance, and other business partners, ensure compliance with the accounting under the US GAAP, and provide accounting guidance and often serve as first point of contact for finance and business partners to resolve issues. This role will partner and collaborate closely with corporate functions including IT, customer service, branch/region leadership, and finance teams.

Responsibilities
You Will...
- Record and analyze complex payroll entries, including month-end and bonus accruals
- Reconcile payroll accounts and generate accurate financial reports for management
- Investigate and resolve complex payroll issues and discrepancies
- Act as primary point of contact for payroll inquiries
- Prepare monthly fixed asset roll-forward schedule
- Assist with the month-end and quarter-end closing of the general ledger, prepare month-end journal entries, evaluate account balances, and prepare analyses in conjunction with preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in the research and determination of how to account for new transactions, including review of contracts, research of technical literature, and development of proposals for accounting treatment
- Assist in the design and implementation of process improvements, including standardization, enhancements, and potential automation of existing processes and systems, and other accounting applications
- Work closely with external and internal auditors in the execution of quarterly and annual audits
- Build and maintain cross-functional and collaborative relationships with various departments
- Work on special projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications
The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements):
- Accounting degree required; CPA, or CPA in process (preferred)
- 4+ years of finance and accounting experience with a global public or large global private company
- Proficiency in ERP systems
- Must have General Ledger management experience
- Ability to handle sensitive teammates and financial information with the utmost discretion
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with software and systems implementations is a plus
- Ability to function as a positive agent of change and to create a positive, engaging work environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally and concisely
- Must be able to work closely with leaders across all departments
- Strong customer service skills, with a sense of urgency and commitment to problem solving
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to select, train, motivate, and retain key personnel
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; Alteryx or Power BI experience is a plus

- Must be local to the Atlanta metro area or willing to relocate to the area.
