Job summary

Air, a leader in enterprise readiness, seeks a Senior Accountant in Arlington, VA to strengthen financial reporting and internal controls.

You will work closely with the CFO and accounting manager on SOX & SEC reporting, and help build scalable processes from the ground up. This full-time role requires U.S. citizenship, 4+ years of experience, CPA or CPA candidate, and a detail-oriented, collaborative approach with up to 5% travel.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a blend of public accounting and corporate financial reporting.
  • Hands-on leadership preparing and/or supporting SOX compliance and PCAOB audit requirements.
  • Experience preparing for or supporting SEC reporting processes (e.g. Forms 10-K, 10-Q).
  • Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets and financial systems skills.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a seamless close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare, and post monthly journal entries to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and ensure they reflect the highest level of integrity.
  • Partner in building and documenting SOX-compliant internal controls.
  • Collaborate with auditors and internal stakeholders to maintain trust and transparency.
  • Be an active participant in establishing systems and processes that positions Air for continued growth.

Air isseeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced Accounting team. You will be responsible for ensuring the transparency and integrity of the financial information that will support Air’s mission, its employees, and the national security community we serve.This is a critical role in preparing the company for public company standards within a dynamic, high-growth environment.

You will work closely with the CFO and the accounting manager for SOX & SEC reporting, as well as the rest of the finance team and will have the opportunity to help build scalable financial processes and controls from the ground up.

This role is a full-time position located out of our office in Arlington, VA.

This role may require up to 5% travel.
