M2 Search Partners, Inc. is recruiting a Senior Accountant to support a multi-entity organization. Reporting to the Controller, this role will handle core accounting close, journal entries, reconciliations, and asset accounting in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and CPA progress. You will work with ASC 606, ASC 842, and a cloud ERP system, helping improve processes and internal controls while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a multi-entity organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Experience with a modern cloud-based ERP system.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including multi-entity accounting and consolidations, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Hands-on experience with fixed assets, depreciation, and construction-in-progress accounting.
• Exposure to ERP implementations, acquisitions, or transaction accounting is a plus.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and post journal entries, including complex accruals, deferrals, and other entries requiring sound accounting judgment.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, maintain supporting schedules, and investigate period-over-period account fluctuations.
• Maintain fixed asset records, including capitalization, depreciation, and construction-in-progress (CIP) tracking for projects, buildouts, and equipment purchases.
• Manage lease accounting under ASC 842, including lease schedules, right-of-use assets and liabilities, roll-forwards, and monthly amortization.
• Maintain accurate, well-supported, audit-ready financial records and assist with the transition or cleanup of historical accounting data.
• Support accounting and reporting across multiple legal entities, including onboarding of newly added entities or acquired operations.
• Assist with financial analyses, debt covenant calculations, audit requests, and other reporting requirements as needed.
• Identify and help implement improvements to accounting workflows, policies, and internal controls.

Reporting to the Controller, this role will support core accounting operations, financial close and reporting, and ongoing improvements to accounting systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting & Financial Close

• Prepare and post journal entries, including complex accruals, deferrals, and other entries requiring sound accounting judgment.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, maintain supporting schedules, and investigate period-over-period account fluctuations.
• Maintain fixed asset records, including capitalization, depreciation, and construction-in-progress (CIP) tracking for projects, buildouts, and equipment purchases.
• Manage lease accounting under ASC 842, including lease schedules, right-of-use assets and liabilities, roll-forwards, and monthly amortization.
• Maintain accurate, well-supported, audit-ready financial records and assist with the transition or cleanup of historical accounting data.

Multi-Entity Accounting & Compliance

• Support accounting and reporting across multiple legal entities, including the onboarding and integration of newly added entities or acquired operations.
• Assist with financial analyses, debt covenant calculations, audit requests, and other reporting requirements as needed.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Support the preparation of complete GAAP accrual-basis financials and help address gaps in historical or interim reporting.
• Participate in ERP implementation, configuration, testing, and post-implementation optimization.
• Identify and help implement improvements to accounting workflows, policies, standard operating procedures, and internal controls.
• Partner with the Controller on month-end and year-end close, special projects, and evolving accounting priorities.

Required Experience & Skills

At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a growing, multi-entity organization.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.

Experience with a modern cloud-based ERP system
