Overview

Headquartered in South Bend, Indiana, Surestep fabricates, markets, and sells a comprehensive line of custom orthotic devices that benefit children with mobility challenges. Surestep custom devices are sold through a vast network of O&P partners throughout the United States and in more than 30 countries. South Bend is located just 40 minutes southeast of Lake Michigan and 90 minutes east of Chicago.

Territory and Role

The primary responsibility of the role is to generate incremental demand and revenue for Surestep products among the selected territories or key accounts assigned to them. The territory for this position will focus on the West Coast, including, but not limited to California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, and Nevada. This is a remote position, where the ideal candidate will reside within the defined territory. Travel is required.

Your Impact
  • Drive growth with all Surestep products by creating and implementing sales and marketing strategy specific to customer base and the defined territory.
  • Lead or coordinate in-service training sessions and present at market/product educational events; provide additional customer support to key customers. Work closely with customers and Surestep teams to align strategies to grow sales and revenue in specified markets.
  • Assess and prioritize customer base and allocate time according to opportunities for the most significant impact.
  • Create onboarding programs and product training for customers as they sign on to using Surestep products.
  • Identify and participate in trade shows that could maximize market impact.
  • Identify customer needs and work with Surestep Education and Marketing teams on training and education for assigned customers.
  • Identify market needs and requirements and articulate a compelling and differentiated value proposition.
  • Be well-versed in public speaking, with ability to engage and educate groups of any size both in-person and virtually. It is preferred that the candidate has a deep understanding of pediatric lower extremity orthotics and product indications/outcomes.
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of the program and adjust as needed to improve the approach.
  • Administrative Requirements: daily/weekly updates to contact management and sales activity in Salesforce; proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint and Excel); responsible for setting up meetings, travel, and accommodations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Certified Orthotist or Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist and Sales and Marketing experience.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8+ years of related experience.
  • Postgraduate coursework may be expected at this level.
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.

Compensation

Pay range of $96,000.00 - $135,000.00 salary range + commission + benefits. This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
