About The Role
At Apartment List, we’re passionate about building long-term, successful partnerships with our partners. We’re looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in nurturing and expanding relationships with property management companies (PMCs) that are key partners on our platform.

As a Senior Account Manager, you will manage a territory-based book of business, working closely with existing partners to drive value, mitigate churn, and identify upsell opportunities. You will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring your partners maximize their success on Apartment List while maintaining and growing existing partnerships. This role primarily focuses on relationship management, with opportunities to drive expansion by onboarding new properties.

This region-based role (Greater Dallas Area) requires occasional travel within your assigned territory, approximately 1-3 in-market trips per quarter and/or conferences.

What You'll Do
  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships between Apartment List and your portfolio of property management companies (PMCs), acting with 100% responsibility for outcomes.
  2. Serve as a trusted advisor to PMCs, focusing on their long-term success and providing tailored recommendations to maximize performance on Apartment List.
  3. Proactively identify upsell opportunities within your book of business and execute strategies to expand our partnerships.
  4. Drive meaningful adoption of Apartment List’s AI platform, Lea Pro, within your book of business.
  5. Deliver consistent, measurable results including meeting expansion targets, managing renewal rates, and reducing partner churn.
  6. Monitor and mitigate potential churn risks by addressing partner concerns, providing effective solutions, and ensuring partner satisfaction.
  7. Work collaboratively with marketing directors, regional property managers, and other decision makers and influencers remotely and in-person within your assigned territory to maintain relationships and explore growth opportunities.
  8. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and effective partner experience.
  9. Maintain proper pipeline management, clean data, and timely reporting through Salesforce and other tools.
  10. Assist with account implementation and support account performance following changes or additions.
What We’re Looking For
  1. 5+ years of account management or client success experience, ideally within a territory-based remote role overseeing partners’ business.
  2. Proven success in identifying and executing upsell opportunities while maintaining partner satisfaction and managing negotiations at renewal.
  3. Experience developing impactful, data-driven presentations and presenting to diverse stakeholders.
  4. Ability to translate data into compelling narratives highlighting value, using Excel and/or Google Sheets for analysis.
  5. Detail-oriented, proactive, with excellent problem-solving skills to mitigate risks and build solutions.
  6. Experience with Salesforce and Salesloft is a plus, as is the ability to learn proprietary tools.
  7. Consultative, systematic approach to account management with a focus on collaboration and delivering value.
Bonus Points
  1. Familiarity with the multifamily industry and experience nurturing relationships within it.
  2. Proven experience working with generative AI tools and technologies.
Pay Range

We consider various factors including role, level, skills, and experience to determine fair compensation. The range is $112,000 - $135,000 OTE + equity. Compensation details reflect cash only, excluding benefits and perks. We aim to pay competitively and may consider higher offers for exceptional candidates. We will share more during the hiring process.

This is a fully remote position within the US, with regional travel as noted above.
