Title: Senior Account Manager - Commercial Lines

Location: Remote (Central and Eastern Time Zones only), based out of Longwood, FL

Book Focus: General Construction, Non-profits, Real Estate, Manufacturing

Role Overview

Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business development. Coordinate daily administrative and customer service activities, resolve complex issues, and serve as a subject matter expert for the team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
2. Lead daily activities and workflow of the account management team.
3. Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
4. Manage policy expirations and renewals.
5. Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
6. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on delinquent accounts.
7. Maintain accuracy in agency management systems and carrier platforms.
8. Ensure timely completion of activities and maintain activity/suspense logs.
9. Communicate regularly with the team regarding workload and issues.
10. Deliver excellent service, anticipate client needs, and respond promptly.
11. Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
12. Seek continuous improvement in individual and team performance.
13. Demonstrate integrity and leadership aligned with IOA values.

Candidate Qualifications

• 5+ years of account management experience or 7+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing required; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred.

• Exceptional customer service, multitasking, and organizational skills.
