Purpose of this position

This role is dedicated to servicing existing customers while delivering exceptional support to drive growth for both our clients and Idemitsu. Account Managers will educate customers on the benefits and advantages of Idemitsu-branded products while also identifying and securing new business opportunities.

What you’ll be doing.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Account management and business development – provide customer service, sales support, and training to each assigned account. Identify new opportunities and present solutions to grow the business. Identify new business opportunities/customers, including but not limited to installers, quick lubes, retailers, municipalities, fleets, and dealerships.
  • Perform sales calls with our distributors’ sales reps and educate them on the value of Idemitsu branded products. Meet with our customers’ management team occasionally.
  • Gather market data, including competitor’s pricing, programs, and promotions in the U.S. Brainstorm and execute proper strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Work with other ILA departments to increase efficiency and provide the best customer service and experience to our customers.
  • Travel 40-50%

What you’ll need to be a successful Senior Account Manager – Bulk Oil Distribution

  • 5-7 years in Account Management working for a lubricants manufacturer supporting bulk oil distributors or 5-7 years of experience in management working at a regional bulk oil distributor.
  • This candidate must have experience with passenger car and heavy-duty lubricants
  • BA/BS (technical degree/business/marketing/sales) or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience in creating and launching effective sales promotions, while being able to calculate the return on investment
  • Knowledge of bulk oil operations and logistics
