Job summary

CAC Group is seeking an experienced leader to oversee the Risk Management AE team, handling staffing, training and account assignments for large, complex accounts in Kentucky. You will coordinate brokerage, risk control, and claims services to ensure client expectations are met.

The role requires state licensure and extensive commercial insurance experience, with a focus on driving renewals, client presentations, and growth opportunities across existing accounts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; substantial work experience may be acceptable in lieu of degree.
  • State license for commercial insurance is required.
  • 15+ years of commercial insurance experience with large accounts.
  • Strong communication and client management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team delivering brokerage and services to clients.
  • Coordinate brokerage teams, risk control, claims, and financial lines.
  • Manage renewals, prepare submissions and present results to clients.
  • Supervise client meetings and contribute to growth with existing clients.
  • Perform data analysis on quotes and program options.
  • Oversee implementation and review carrier documents.
  • Coach and manage junior staff to ensure workflow.

Job description

Job Summary: This role will oversee the entire Risk Management AE team for staffing, training and account assignments, etc. while also managing a book of a few of our largest and most complex accounts.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of colleagues in providing coordinated brokerage and services to clients
  • Coordination of brokerage teams, risk control, claims, financial lines – essentially making sure all service are delivered and expectations are met.
  • Establish, drive processes, and monitor critical timelines for annual insurance renewals of clients
  • Assist with renewal meetings to present results to established client contacts
  • Participate in client meetings and lead when necessary
  • Understand complex financial analysis and claims data
  • Participate as needed in Prospect presentation meetings
  • Identity and facilitate possible areas for expanded business with existing clients
  • Prepare renewal submissions for marketing; send and process complete renewal submissions
  • Analyze quotes for accuracy and prepare spreadsheet of all quotes received
  • Assist in data analysis to determine program structure options
  • Create client presentation including quotes, spreadsheet, contract comparison and other internal marketing materials
  • Oversee implementation process
  • Review documents issued by insurance company for accuracy. Submit incorrect documents to insurance companies for revision.
  • Supervise support staff to help manage workflow
Management Duties & Responsibilities
  • Act as a resource for AEs, AAEs and AMs in Risk Management
  • Complete annual goal setting, oversight and day to day management of Risk Management service team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; substantial work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • State specific license is required 15+ years of commercial insurance work experience with large accounts is required
  • Both AE work and broking/placement experience a major plus, as it shows an increased technical insurance knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong multitasking & time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products; (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher)
  • Professional in appearance and business conduct with strong customer service
  • Ability to travel to client and prospect meetings approximately 20% of time
Salary

Salary: $200-250k salary range plus bonus opportunity and benefits. This information reflects the anticipated range for this position. Actual salary may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
