Role Overview

The Provider Market Senior Account Executive serves as the primary contact for key strategic provider clients, managing relationships and driving growth. This role involves developing strategic plans, managing client relationships, and collaborating across internal teams to meet revenue and growth targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build and nurture relationships with provider clients, understanding their strategies and needs.
  2. Lead cross-functional teams to increase value and impact for clients.
  3. Present solutions and value propositions to client executives and decision-makers.
  4. Ensure delivery commitments and coordinate service delivery between clients and Optum teams.
  5. Negotiate contracts, renewals, and performance guarantees.
  6. Drive client savings and revenue growth through performance management and upselling.
  7. Manage business processes and maintain CRM data accurately.
  8. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction, high NPS scores, and renewal rates.
  9. Engage with external clients at the VP and C-suite levels as a trusted partner.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years in healthcare leadership, consulting, or related roles with KPI and growth responsibilities.
  • 5+ years working with stakeholders and business leaders.
  • 2+ years supporting healthcare provider clients with revenue of $500M+.
  • Proven relationship-building with external clients and internal teams.
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare provider market.
  • Experience leading matrixed teams and managing complex organizations.
  • Ability to analyze market opportunities and develop solutions.
  • Willingness to travel 25-50% within a 200-300 mile radius of Los Angeles.
  • Reside in Los Angeles or Santa Barbara area; valid driver’s license and transportation.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Optum markets and cross-business collaboration.
  • Clinical leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of analytics, care delivery, revenue cycle services.
  • P&L management experience.
  • Strong leadership, change management, and communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $90,000 - $195,000 annually, plus bonuses based on sales performance. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, incentives, stock purchase options, and 401k. Salary is commensurate with experience and location.
