Senior Account Executive – Manufacturing
In this role, you will own the full sales cycle—from identifying leads to closing deals with Global 2000 and large enterprises within the Manufacturing sector. You will be an approachable, compelling communicator who uncovers prospects’ needs and develops tailored value propositions around how the Cohere platform can help them achieve their business goals. You will work closely with customer success, sales development, marketing, and solution architecture teams, help shape the product roadmap, and work in a unstructured, rapidly evolving environment.
What you will do
- Acquire net‑new logos through outbound activity and relationship building with key stakeholders, leveraging a strong network to accelerate engagements and drive strategic partnerships and sales wins.
- Act as a consultative, trusted advisor, deeply understanding customer challenges, technology ecosystems, and tailoring solutions to deliver measurable impact.
- Partner with channel partners to scale outreach and customer satisfaction in your territory.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer‑success teams on strategic motions for large‑enterprise customers.
- Work with Sales Development Representatives to drive top‑of‑funnel activity.
- Own the entire sales cycle—from initial outreach through proof‑of‑concept, deal close, and deployment—ensuring ongoing project oversight and success.
You May Be a Good Fit If You Have
- 8–12+ years of B2B sales experience with Global 2000 manufacturers, closing transformative, multi‑year (2–5 year) 7‑figure SaaS deals, and consistently exceeding quota.
- Experience as a technical consultative salesperson selling complex products such as developer tools, API products, or AI/NLP solutions in the manufacturing sector.
- Experience working with customers during deployment, configuring and customizing solutions to enable production success and build trust for expansion.
- Experience collaborating with channel partners (cloud hyperscalers, system integrators) to drive sales cycles and achieve shared revenue goals.
- High tolerance for ambiguity, self‑starter mentality, and strategic mindset required to navigate early‑stage growth.
- Curiosity about NLP and a desire to become a domain expert, while mapping its application into large‑organization technology landscapes in manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills—listening, building relationships, speaking to the C‑suite, and addressing both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Additional Requirements
- Deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, including key trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Ability to articulate the value of AI and NLP solutions in manufacturing operations such as predictive maintenance, supply‑chain optimization, quality‑control automation, and data‑derived insights.
- Experience handling regulatory and compliance requirements specific to manufacturing.
