Job description

About the role:

The Senior Account Executive is a field-based, direct sales role responsible for client retention and growth through contract expansion and introducing new products and services. You will consult with C-level executives to develop and implement enterprise-wide strategies that maximize the value of Gartner’s products and services.

What you’ll do:

  1. Account management aimed at increasing customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth
  2. Manage contracts with a quota of $800,000+ within a territory of major client accounts
  3. Master and consistently execute Gartner’s sales methodology
  4. Develop account plans and manage territory
  5. Maintain forecast accuracy monthly, quarterly, and annually
  6. Keep abreast of the competitive landscape
  7. Gain in-depth knowledge of Gartner’s offerings

What you’ll need:

  1. 8-15 years of proven consultative sales experience, preferably in high technology sectors, with a successful sales track record
  2. Strong intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales skills
  3. Experience building relationships at C-level in large enterprises
  4. Proficiency in computer and presentation skills
  5. Knowledge of the full sales cycle
  6. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred

The estimated base salary range for this role is $132,000 - $180,000 USD, with actual compensation based on experience, education, and other factors. Additional compensation includes annual bonuses or uncapped sales incentives, generous PTO, 401K matching, stock purchase options, and more.
