Job Description

We're looking for a passionate and motivated Account Executive (AEx) to join the OTTO by Rockwell Automation sales organization. We aim to develop well-rounded experts skilled in strategic account planning, business development, technical sales, and account administration. This is a remote position in the US or Canada, with 30%-50% travel. You will be supported by the team regardless of location and report to the Director, Consumer & General Industry Sales.

Your Responsibilities
  • Pursue target accounts, infiltrate decision-making levels, and secure business.
  • Devise account strategies leveraging OTTO solutions and go-to-market plans to expand within target accounts.
  • Develop relationships across organizations to elevate OTTO's position with executives.
  • Identify automation opportunities, promote OTTO solutions, and engage customers in projects with compelling business cases.
  • Manage pipeline and revenue growth in your territory.
  • Create personal strategies to conquer your market segment, with team support.
  • The AEx reports to the Director of Sales and is compensated with a base salary, commissions, and benefits.
The Essentials - You Will Have
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Willing to travel up to 30%-50% for on-site visits, workshops, and tradeshows.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US or Canada; sponsorship is not provided.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have
  • Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in technical roles including applications engineering, project management, or sales.
  • Success in business development, direct sales, or key account management.
  • Experience selling to mid-market and enterprise organizations.
  • CRM experience such as Salesforce.com is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver compelling presentations.
  • Strategic yet hands-on approach to results.

The total target compensation is $180,720 - $271,080 USD annually for US candidates, and $186,400 - $279,600 CAD annually for Canada candidates, with 60% base salary and 40% variable pay. Actual pay depends on skills, knowledge, education, and experience. This role is part of a job family, with level and pay based on experience.
