Job description

Company Description

Build a Sales Career. Create a legacy in the Arts. At On The Stage we believe the best sales careers are built around solving meaningful problems for people you care about.

We are seeking a consultative B2B sales professional who wants to combine a serious sales career with a genuine connection to the performing arts. You may come from SaaS, ecommerce, nonprofit, media, or another consultative sales environment. You may also have deep experience in theatre—as a producer, performer, educator, administrator, or arts professional—and are ready to bring that experience into a professional sales and go-to-market career.

You don’t have to be a theatre person to thrive here. You have to be a seller who understands, appreciates, or wants to serve the theatre and live events community.

Job Description

The performing arts are full of talented people and organizations doing extraordinary work with limited resources. We believe technology should help—not get in the way.

OTS gives arts organizations the tools to:
  • Sell more tickets and grow audiences
  • Save time and simplify day-to-day operations
  • Build stronger relationships with their communities
  • Increase fundraising and revenue
  • Present a more professional digital presence
  • Make better decisions with actionable data
  • Produce and manage live and virtual events
Our end-to-end SaaS platform includes:
  • Online ticketing with a mobile-first checkout experience
  • Promotional websites and automated marketing
  • Audience engagement tools and real-time reporting
  • Native CRM and fundraising capabilities
  • In-checkout revenue accelerators
Key Responsibilities
  • Full-Cycle Consultative Sales: Own the complete sales cycle from discovery and demo to negotiation and closing across community, educational, and independent arts organizations.
  • Pipeline Generation & Management: Proactively source, build, and manage a robust sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, SDR sourced conversations, and territory expansion.
  • Needs Analysis & Solution Mapping: Conduct deep discovery to understand key operational, ticketing, and marketing challenges, tailoring platform presentations to solve specific client pains.
  • Relationship & Community Building: Engage directly with executive directors, theatre department heads, board members, and producers to establish trust and strategic partnership.
  • Commercial Execution: Deliver precise product demonstrations, construct tailored commercial proposals, handle objections with empathy, and consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with full GTM and Product teams to champion client feedback and support seamless customer onboarding.
Qualifications

Whether you are an established tech sales professional or an industry insider looking to transition,

  • Naturally curious: Never taking face value as the full story, you love to dig deeper to uncover gems along the way
  • Consultative Mindset: Demonstrated capability to ask insightful questions, uncover latent pain points, and articulate software value metrics rather than simply listing features.
  • Self-Motivated & Coachable: High energy, curiosity, and adaptability in a fast-growing, dynamic startup environment.
  • Empathy & Market Alignment: Genuine appreciation, respect, and enthusiasm for the performing arts community and the unique operational realities our customers navigate.
  • Proven Commercial or Industry Track Record:
    • 3+ years of experience in B2B SaaS, consultative software sales, or high-touch relationship management OR
    • Substantial background in theatre management, arts administration, producing, or arts education with a proven commercial drive and interest in tech sales.
  • Strong Communication & Demo Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and virtual presentation skills with the ability to engage multi-stakeholder committees (e.g., non profit administrators, board members, artistic directors).
