Job description

Starfish is a branding and creative agency that helps clients build brands, launch campaigns, and grow across channels. We work across the full arc of a brand, from discovery and strategy through creative, identity, and activation, and we stay close after launch, using intelligence and analytics to keep brands performing over time.

We're looking for a confident, experienced Senior Account Executive to lead execution across a portfolio of accounts. You'll be a key point of contact for clients and internal teams, keeping projects, timelines, and budgets on track and clients happy.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Someone who can run point on major accounts without hand-holding. A self-starter who anticipates needs and doesn't wait to be told what's next. You'll be the "safe pair of hands" leadership trusts to keep accounts running smoothly, even in their absence.

Our accounts are big, our deadlines are tight, and the deliverable load is heavy. This role calls for someone organized and strategic under pressure, comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, and confident turning complex client challenges into clear, compelling work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Own the delivery. Act as the day-to-day contact for key clients, managing timelines, budgets, estimates, and invoicing across multiple accounts. Oversee vendors and production estimates for print and collateral, and flag risks or scope changes before they become problems.

Elevate the work. Write clear, thorough creative briefs and help shape presentations and creative output from kickoff through final delivery, making sure every piece is on brief and strategically sound.

Engage confidently with clients. Lead status calls, prepare status reports and recaps, and present clearly to clients and internal teams. Debrief feedback thoughtfully, and push back where appropriate in a clear, solutions-focused way.

Champion strategy. Work with team leads to develop account strategy and KPIs, and bring analytical thinking to client challenges, translating goals into clear direction for the creative and strategy teams.

Build relationships. Develop trusted relationships with clients and cross-agency teams, and spot opportunities for organic account growth.

Manage up and down. Escalate issues appropriately, prioritize daily and weekly workflow against larger account objectives, and be the reliable point of contact leadership can count on.

ABOUT YOU

You have at least 4 years of agency experience in a project management or account services role, ideally on large or high‑profile accounts, with a track record managing creative projects. You're organized, articulate, and comfortable navigating high-stakes work, and you take responsibility seriously: for the work, the client relationship, and the agency's reputation.

You'll bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • A self-starter mindset: creative, assertive, and quick to anticipate needs
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking
  • Confidence writing and delivering creative briefs that set creative teams up to succeed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization
  • Curiosity about AI and how to put it to work, comfortable exploring tools like Claude and ChatGPT to find smarter ways to get things done
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, Figma, and Productive
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Hybrid schedule: in office Tuesday to Thursday, remote Monday and Friday
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • A collaborative, growth-oriented team culture
  • Real room to grow. This role has a direct path to greater ownership of the agency's creative output and overall growth
