Real Chemistry is looking for a Senior Account Director to join our growing team!
The Senior Account Director manages client relationships on large or multiple engagements, serving as a trusted partner to clients. The role involves understanding the market, identifying solutions to business problems, and leading client engagements while galvanizing cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative, integrated solutions and groundbreaking results.
Location & Travel
This is a hybrid role based in any U.S. office—including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Carmel, or San Francisco—or remotely within the U.S., depending on team and business needs.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop multiple client engagements of varying sizes in a fast‑paced environment.
- Provide counsel on research findings, industry knowledge, the external marketplace, and competitive pressures to sell agency expertise and gain consensus on creative ideas.
- Empower teams through engaging career development practices and ensure technical and operational excellence in all executions.
- Participate in leadership activities and recruiting events to attract and retain talent.
- Provide strategic direction for the business in partnership with internal leadership to ensure the team delivers its best work.
- Maintain and cultivate relationships with key media channels to support strategic execution of services.
- Use a deep understanding of Real Chemistry’s capabilities to spot opportunities for client success and promote ideas internally and to clients.
- Act as the contact point for project challenges, ensuring timely, on‑budget delivery and maintaining financial accountability for engagement performance.
- Partner with practice and shared service leads throughout the business to streamline, elevate, and innovate tactical processes.
- Develop integrated business (social media/digital, content) through trend‑spotting, strategic recommendations, and full‑scope introductions to Real Chemistry’s capabilities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of proven experience in public relations, communications, or advertising, with integrated healthcare PR experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to grow existing business and contribute strategically to new business.
- Outstanding project management skills—ability to meet timelines, prioritize, and manage detailed budgets.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and clinical information to clients and management.
- Data‑oriented approach with the ability to translate business challenges into measurable steps.
- Influencing skills to drive change internally and with clients.
- Management experience required; able to empower teams, keep them on track, and support professional development.
- High energy and effectiveness in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
- Domestic travel for client meetings and conferences (approximately 10%).
Pay Range
$105,000–$130,000
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Compensation is determined based on job‑related, non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. The Company reserves the right to modify the pay range at any time.
