Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in gastroenterology.
• Fellowship trained in transplant hepatology.
• Massachusetts medical license eligibility.
• Strong collaboration and leadership for academic medicine.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic liver disease in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Provide comprehensive pre- and post-liver transplant care, including waitlist management.
• Diagnose and manage complex hepatobiliary disorders (cirrhosis, HCC, viral hepatitis, autoimmune liver disease).
• Participate in multidisciplinary liver transplant selection conferences and collaborate with transplant surgeons.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapies and guidelines.
• Foster relationships across Tufts Medicine to enhance referral pathways and access to hepatology and transplant services.
• Partner with community physicians to expand access to liver transplant services.
• Serve as a clinical ambassador through outreach, education, and multidisciplinary collaborations.
• Collaborate with clinicians to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Engage in quality improvement, program development, and multidisciplinary conferences.
• Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students; participate in clinical research.
