Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or related field required.
• Two+ years of related experience as instructor, advisor, tutor, mentor, or administrator in a college/university setting.
• Commitment to advising, mentoring, and guiding college students.
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills; ability to write, edit, and present well.

Responsibilities

• Serve as front-line academic advisor for declared economics majors; coach, mentor, and guide students in major requirements and university policies; refer to faculty when needed.
• Liaise between the department and programs to advance student success and collaborate with undergraduate advising team.
• Provide programming support: develop advising materials, plan events, and deliver presentations or seminars.
• Conduct research, compile data, and analyze program effectiveness related to retention and on-time graduation.
• Support Associate Deans and faculty advisors; maintain confidential student notes in Portfolio system.
• Perform other duties to support department majors.
