Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC seeks an experienced Ab Initio Developer for a Tampa, FL role. This contract position offers a hybrid schedule with 2–3 days onsite weekly and potential extension/conversion.

The candidate will work on Ab Initio suites (GDE/EME/Conduct>It) with strong SQL, data warehousing, and ETL expertise in a banking environment; cloud and big data exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; Master’s preferred.
• 8–10 years of Ab Initio experience (GDE, EME, Conduct>It, Continuous Flows).
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle/Teradata/PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL best practices and data modeling.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools (Autosys, Control‑M) and Git.
• Experience in banking/financial services domain; cloud familiarity (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Exposure to Hadoop/Spark is a plus; strong debugging and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to write clean, well‑documented code and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning for new applications.
• Monitor development life cycle from analysis to implementation and provide user support.
• Analyze complex problems, evaluate processes, and apply industry standards.
• Suggest security measures and design improvements post‑implementation.
• Consult with users and tech groups to propose advanced programming solutions.
• Define operating standards and mentor junior analysts; work with limited supervision.
