Job Description:

As a Senior Ab Initio Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced data processing solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your expertise in Ab Initio, along with your experience in Teradata, UNIX, and Autosys, will be critical in delivering high-quality solutions that meet our business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop complex data processing frameworks using Ab Initio.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
• Optimize and enhance existing data processing systems for performance and scalability.
• Lead and mentor junior developers to ensure best practices and coding standards are followed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data processing applications.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all development activities.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio, demonstrating a strong command of its tools and functionalities.
• Experience working with Teradata, including database management and optimization.
• Experience with UNIX shell scripting, with a focus on developing and maintaining scripts for automation and system management.
• Experience with Autosys job scheduling, including the creation and management of job workflows.
• Experience with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including designing, developing, testing, and deploying software solutions.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience working with Big Data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar platforms.
• Experience in the financial services industry, providing insights into industry-specific challenges and requirements.
• Experience in financial crimes and compliance, with knowledge of regulations and best practices.
• Experience in Agile development environments, with a focus on iterative development and collaboration.
• A BS/BA degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.
