Job summary

Job description

Join our life-saving team in Redding, CA. Take advantage of a Sign-On Bonus up to $65,000 and a Location Bonus up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the King Air 200 aircraft.
• Review and evaluate daily maintenance or inspection requirements and carry out various tasks to maintain the airworthiness of the aircraft.
• Notify the Lead Mechanic of unusual situations that require schedule changes, aircraft changes, extra manpower or technical assistance.
• When at a field base, be responsible for the maintenance of all assigned aircraft, reviewing stock levels and requisitioning spares as necessary to provide required repairs.
• Ensure the safety and security of all company assets at the field base.
• Prepare reports, requisitions, inventories, and personally certify on aircraft logs and related inspection and maintenance forms that work accomplished meets the requirements of the FAA, manufacturer and PHI Health.
• Comply with entries in RAMCO, such as work packages, status sheets, removals and installs in physical structure.
• Maintain close communication with the Lead Mechanic, AMBS, and other agents to ensure effective and timely job completion.
• Maintain parts inventory and recommend level changes when necessary.
• Maintain company-provided special tools and ensure calibration is performed as scheduled.
• Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience as a Certified Mechanic.
• Basic skills in communications.
• Computer skills required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-placement physical exam including a functional capacity exam (strength and flexibility assessment, lift up to 100 pounds), drug screening, and background screen.
• Sheet metal repair and/or avionics troubleshooting/repair skills.
• Must be able to travel frequently, sometimes with short notice during scheduled assignments.
• Must be able to work night shifts where maintenance events dictate.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate: $31.33 – $44.11.
• Potential annual earnings: $74,941 – $105,511.
• Location Bonus up to 15%.
• Potential annual earnings with location bonus: $86,183 – $121,338.00.
• Sign-On Bonus up to $65,000 (California candidates eligible for up to $32,500).
• Overtime and double time hours can add additional compensation, potentially up to $65,000 depending on overtime and double time worked.
• Shift bonuses, shift incentives, annual safety bonus, annual employee bonus, and other benefits.

Schedule and Location

• Shift pattern: 7 & 7 (7 hours on, 7 hours off).
• Candidates must live within a one-hour drive or 60 miles (whichever is greater) of the base.
• Travel between bases is required.
• Travel may be scheduled with short notice.
