Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking two experienced A-Level Automotive Technicians for a busy independent repair shop in Murfreesboro, TN. The role focuses on advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and delivering high-quality workmanship in an air-conditioned shop with ongoing training.

We offer flat-rate pay ($37-50/hr) with weekly pay, a strong benefits package including dental, vision, retirement, PTO, holidays, training, and ASE reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 12-15+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Extensive diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to perform repairs independently from start to finish.
• Experience performing Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI).
• Strong computer skills and experience with Tekmetric or similar shop software preferred.
• ASE Certifications are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Commitment to high-quality workmanship and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on all makes and models.
• Complete repairs from diagnosis through final quality inspection.
• Perform Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) using Tekmetric.
• Communicate repair findings and recommendations with customers when needed.
• Present repair recommendations using a show-and-sell approach.
• Prepare repair estimates and assist with parts research and ordering.
• Maintain productivity while delivering exceptional workmanship.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
