Job summary

E-Space is seeking a Senior 5G Software Test Engineer focused on the Physical Layer to lead verification, validation, and performance testing of 5G NR PHY software for Release 15/16/17 and beyond-5G. Based in the USA (Arlington, TX or Saratoga, CA), you will collaborate with PHY software developers, RF, DSP, and hardware teams to verify functionality across real-time, low-latency platforms.

Qualifications

• Master of Science or Master of Engineering in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent.
• Strong experience in 5G NR PHY testing, validation, or development.
• Solid understanding of digital communications and PHY-layer concepts.
• Experience with SDR platforms and SoC-based systems.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and Python for test development and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead 5G PHY software testing and validation for NR implementations.
• Develop and execute PHY-level test plans and regression tests.
• Validate modulation/demodulation, channel estimation, synchronization, coding/decoding, HARQ.
• Ensure compliance with 3GPP Rel 15/16/17 specs.
• Create test vectors, logs, and automation scripts.
• Work with cross-functional teams to diagnose and fix issues.
