Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking a knowledgeable 5G Network Integration Lead to join the Army TEN-M program. You will plan, design, deploy, and validate fiber and wireless network infrastructure, coordinating with OEM partners and government stakeholders to ensure secure, end‑to‑end service turn‑up.

The role requires on‑site site surveys, OTDR testing, and integration across 5G core, DWDM/ROADM, and optical transport platforms, with 25%–50% travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of network configuration management experience with emphasis on 5G technologies.
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience.
• Secret clearance desired.

Responsibilities

• Activate newly deployed fiber routes and integrate into the optical transport network.
• Configure and integrate 5G Core functions, transport systems, and IP network infrastructure.
• Managing DWDM/ROADM configuration, optical power alignment, transponder turn-up, and end‑to‑end lightpath provisioning.
• Validating interfaces between network components and Government systems, conducting system acceptance testing, capturing logs and packet traces, troubleshooting issues, and supporting optimization and project closeout.
• Developing integration procedures, validating interoperability across vendor platforms, and ensuring compliance with security and operational requirements.
