Job summary

Delkor Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer / Machinist to support the machine shop by programming parts with CAM software, optimizing tooling, and reducing cycle times.

You will work with Machinists, Engineering, Routing Analyst, and the Machine Shop Manager to choose cost-efficient methods and ensure prints are produced safely and on schedule. Requires five years in manufacturing with CNC/CAM programming, a two-year degree in Machining or CAD/CAM, and experience with CAMWorks,

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment with machining and CNC/CAM programming.
• Two-year degree in Machining or CAD/CAM preferred.
• Minimum of four years experience running CNC 5Axis Mill, CNC Mill-turn Lathe, NC Mill, and NC Lathe.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling software - SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Program machined parts at optimal cost using CAM software and determine efficient processes.
• Select raw materials, cutting tools, and shop supplies for special parts requirements.
• Create and maintain setup sheets and coordinate CAM parameter changes with machinists.
• Oversee flow of programmed parts and expediting programming as needed.
• Operate a variety of CNC equipment and reduce setup times and runtimes.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area and monitor machine maintenance.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineering, and scheduling to improve manufacturability.
