Job summary

Celestica is seeking a 401k Compliance Specialist to provide administrative support for U.S. 401k retirement plans. You will be the primary contact for plan participants, coordinate with ADP, Fidelity, and EPIC, and ensure payroll alignment.

This role requires strong numerical skills, detail orientation, and excellent communication. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in retirement plan administration, HR benefits, and payroll coordination, with proficiency in Excel, HRIS, and benefits platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in retirement plan administration, HR benefits and payroll coordination.
• Strong numerical proficiency with high-volume data arrays (Excel, v-lookups, pivot tables).
• Detail-oriented with the ability to securely manage confidential employee records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to respond to employee queries in a timely manner.
• Strong time management and organizational skills for prioritizing complex tasks.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HRIS platforms (ADP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Set up and enroll new employees in 401k across entities using ADP, Fidelity, and EPIC/Schwab.
• Process, track and upload participant elections and deferral changes.
• Oversee 401k loan tracking and coordinate with third‑party admins to manage reamortization.
• Coordinate with payroll to maintain plan compliance and avoid coverage gaps.
• Respond to employee inquiries about 401k benefits and enrollment timelines.
• Assist with annual plan compliance and year‑end audits (NDT).
• Collaborate with payroll and external consultants to verify census data and loan totals.
• Maintain up‑to‑date IRS limits and plan highlights in internal systems.
