Senior 3MS Solutions Architect - 12-Month Contract

Job description

This is a contract position based in Hyattsville, Maryland, for a Solutions Architect specializing in 3MS implementations. The role is for a 12-month term.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cost/benefit analyses related to Maximo implementations and supporting systems
• Perform business analyses, fit-gap analyses, and business process improvements related to Maximo
• Design and implement solutions across multi-tiered application architectures including Web services, Maximo SOA, database servers, application servers, and report servers
• Manage integrations between Maximo and enterprise systems including PeopleSoft, Cognos, PPG, Optram, Oracle Virtual Directory, Windchill, and GIS
• Configure and support Maximo modules including Transportation, Asset Configuration Manager, and Anywhere
• Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions across database, application, and Web server components
• Implement IBM WebSphere on AIX, Linux, and Windows platforms
• Configure Maximo security models for end-user connections and system integration
• Set up and manage Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), Cron tasks, and data exchange programs
• Support data archiving, warehouse management processes, and transit business operations including materials, rail car, bus, and service vehicle maintenance

Qualifications

• Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Business, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible, diversified technical experience with complex information systems and data processing management in a large organization
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the asset management framework and processes as defined by the Institute of Asset Management
  • Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles and recording of accounting transactions
  • Solid understanding and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) end-to-end business processes
  • Experience with warehouse management processes
  • Experience with multiple transit agencies
  • Solid understanding of transit business processes including materials, rail car, bus, and service vehicle maintenance; incident management; and facility management
  • Thorough knowledge of Maximo database design
  • Comprehensive experience with HTML, Java, J2EE, JSP, Extensible Markup Language (XML), JavaScript, C++, and object-oriented analysis and design
  • Relational database programming and administration of programming/application development systems
  • Experience and comprehensive knowledge of PPG Architecture, its functionality, its data structure, and integration mechanisms
  • Experience and comprehensive knowledge of Maximo 7.6, Transportation, Asset Configuration Manager, and Anywhere
  • Experience implementing IBM WebSphere on AIX, Linux, and Windows platforms
  • Experience with TRM Rules Manager
  • Experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) and Cron tasks setup, or data exchange programs
  • Experience with Maximo security models for both end-user connection and system integration
  • Experience integrating Maximo and PeopleSoft, Cognos, PPG, Optram, Oracle Virtual Directory, Windchill, and GIS
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience integrating purchasing, Documents Receipt Management, and bus and rail mileage reimbursements
  • Demonstrated experience integrating Maximo and PPG
  • Experience with Maximo data archiving
  • Experience designing and implementing high availability and disaster recovery at all levels of application components (database, application, Web server, etc.); Maximo, PPG, and Fleetwatch HA/DR necessary
  • Comprehensive knowledge and in-depth experience with Maximo, Optram, InspectTech, Fleetwatch, RPM, and warehouse management systems
