Job summary

Weave Robotics, Inc. is seeking a 3D Perception & SLAM Engineer to push the boundaries of localization, mapping, and navigation on real robots operating in homes and businesses.

You will fuse cameras, IMUs, odometry, and other sensors, develop production-grade vSLAM, sensor infrastructure, and a robust localization stack while exploring learned methods to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience building vision-based SLAM and sensor calibration for real-world robotic applications.
• Strong understanding of state estimation, sensor fusion, probabilistic estimation.
• Experience integrating cameras, IMUs, odometry, and LiDAR into perception pipelines.
• Production-grade software development in C++ or Python.
• Familiarity with ROS and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Build production-grade vSLAM and localization system by fusing cameras, IMUs, wheel odometry, and other onboard sensors to deliver robust, real-time robot localization.
• Develop sensor infrastructure for calibration, synchronization, and data fusion to ensure accurate, low-latency perception across the robot platform.
• Own localization and mapping stack from core estimation algorithms through sensor integration for dynamic indoor environments.
• Advance the state of the art by exploring learned approaches and applying them in production on real robots.
• Optimize for real-world robotics by improving robustness, efficiency, and power consumption of perception systems.
• Debug localization failures using logs, data, simulation, and deployed hardware.
