Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. (ENERCON) is seeking a 3D Designer to join the Federal Services Advanced Design and Manufacturing (ADM) team in Fort Worth, TX.

You will create detailed 3D models and drawings for DOE facility design and upgrades, collaborating with engineers to turn complex concepts into precision deliverables. This role emphasizes quality, safety, and compliance, with occasional travel to sites and opportunities to mentor junior drafters while supporting multi-discipline layouts and FOAK

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with 6+ years of experience, OR High school diploma with 10+ years of experience, OR Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of design experience.
• Advanced proficiency SmartPlant 3D, Smart 3D, or Octave Forte 3D.
• A passion for creative mechanical, piping, equipment, or facility design‑especially for complex or FOAK systems.
• Understanding of engineering discipline practices and the ability to coordinate design work across other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• 3D Modeling & Technical Drawing: develop high-precision 3D models and drawings for facility layouts, system modifications, and new equipment.
• Engineering Support & Collaboration: support FOAK nuclear/industrial equipment design and collaborate across disciplines.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: perform self-checks and mentor junior drafters; maintain red-line docs.
• Project Execution: meet schedule objectives and travel for site credentials as needed.
