Job summary

Aims Community College in Colorado is seeking a highly skilled 3D Concrete Printing Instructor to lead advanced training in additive manufacturing for the construction sector. The role covers curriculum development, lab supervision, and hands-on lectures on 6-axis 3D printers, robotic systems, and cementitious materials.

The ideal candidate has a strong engineering/design background and proven teaching experience, with a passion for innovation and student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Design, Computer Science, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks) and coding for 3D printing.
• Experience in developing and delivering hands-on technical training or teaching.

Responsibilities

• Co-create curriculum with Alquist 3D including: Creating Learning Activity Packages (LAPS), Course mapping, D2L implementation.
• Provide lectures and hands-on instruction in robotic motion systems, power systems, Kuka operations and Extruder Theory.
• Provide lectures and hands-on instruction in using specialized cementitious materials and 3D concrete design and coding for a 6-axis printer.
• Ensure students understand the design workflow from conception to printing, including model alignment and troubleshooting for quality and accuracy.
• Assess student performance in hands-on activities and provide mentorship to master design and coding skills.
