As a Sendouts Lab Processing Technician you will be responsible for receiving, evaluating, accessioning, processing, storage and distributing of patient specimens for lab testing while adhering to department standard operating procedures. You will ensure that incoming patient samples meet the pre-analytical testing requirements and that specimen issues are resolved before testing. You will be r esponsible for processing, batching, packaging, and shipping blood and body fluid samples to reference laboratories across the country according to IATA shipping guidelines. You will be required to organize workload for maximum efficiency, accuracy and to help maintain the quality and timeliness of patient testing. You must also p roject a professional image through phone, email and other communications to internal and external customers. Experience with data entry is preferred as position requires accurate entering of orders, results, testing information and demographics.
