The Utah State Senate is seeking a flexible part-time Amending Clerk to participate in the annual legislative session. This nonpartisan, seasonal role runs January 18 through March 5, with daily session work and possible extended hours in the final weeks. Business attire is required.
You will support the Secretary of the Senate by amending and engrossing legislation, coordinating with attorneys, filing official versions, and preparing transmittal letters to the House. Other duties as assigned.

The Utah Senate is seeking to fill a flexible part-time Amending Clerk position. This is a nonpartisan, seasonal position. Individuals hired for this position will serve during the Legislature’s annual general session from January 18 to March 5. This position will work daily during Senate sessions and may require extended hours the last two weeks of the session. Business professional dress is required, including a tie and sports coat or suit jacket for men.
This position is a unique opportunity to participate behind the scenes in the legislative process by assisting the Secretary of the Senate with amending and engrossing Senate and House legislation.

Schedule Code – AN – Employees of the Legislature. At will: Employees in this position serve at the pleasure of the appointing officer in an at-will status and may be terminated at any time without cause. This is not a career service position.
Pay – $20.50 hourly. This position is not eligible for benefits.
