This position is unique to the Legislative Branch.
The Legislative Assistant (LA) is a professional support role within the House Majority Caucus, providing dedicated, high-quality assistance to members of the Utah House of Representatives.
Legislative Assistants help legislators efficiently manage their responsibilities during the legislative session and throughout the year, serving as a critical link between representatives, constituents, and the broader legislative process.
This is not a career service position and incumbents serve in an at-will basis. Incumbents serve in a partisan capacity and must be willing to work extended hours and weekends during the legislative session, the interim, or as needed.

Salary Range – The pay range for this position is between $25.00 and $27.00 hourly plus comprehensive medical, dental, leave, and retirement benefits. The starting salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications.
