Job summary

Veeco is seeking a Manufacturing Technician on 2nd shift (3:30 PM–12:00 AM) to assemble and troubleshoot complex semiconductor process tools, lead subassemblies, and ensure readiness for handoff.

You'll work from mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, mentor teammates, and uphold safety and quality standards while building high‑purity systems used in next‑generation chip fabrication. Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade education preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience building or assembling electro‑mechanical systems.
• Availability to work 2nd shift (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM) with overtime flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and integrate complete semiconductor process tools per engineering requirements.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and diagrams to ensure accuracy.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues with engineering collaboration.
• Lead subassembly efforts and coordinate tool builds.
• Support and lead tool power-up before handoff.
• Document builds for traceability and adherence to quality standards.
• Model and enforce safety compliance and plant protocols.
