ON Semiconductor Corporation is offering a TD/EFK technology development internship in New York. The role provides hands-on wafer characterization, defect analysis, reliability testing, and yield improvement within a semiconductor development environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Semiconductor Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, JMP, Python, MATLAB, or similar.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support wafer inspection and defect analysis activities to identify process and device-related issues.
• Perform data analysis to help improve device yield and manufacturing performance.
• Assist with device characterization and electrical measurements at wafer level.
• Support reliability characterization activities, including: TDDB (Time-Dependent Dielectric Breakdown), WL-UIL (Wafer-Level Unclamped Inductive Load) measurements, and other device reliability testing.
• Analyze test data and prepare technical reports summarizing results and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Device, Process Integration, Product, and Reliability Engineering teams.
• Support root-cause investigations and corrective action initiatives for yield and reliability issues.
• Participate in design of experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis to optimize device performance.
• Document findings and present project updates to the engineering team.
