Job summary

Chelsea Search Group seeks a Semiconductor Program Manager to drive IC/ASIC/FPGA programs from customer requirements through development and delivery in Minneapolis.

You will coordinate engineering, business development and customers, align schedules, resources, and budgets, and manage risk and changes while keeping stakeholders informed.

The ideal candidate has a BSEE, 5+ years PM experience, strong communication, and Mil-Aero/industrial customer exposure; PMP/PRINCE II is a plus.

Qualifications

  • BSEE or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a project manager.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Experience with project management software tools.
  • Experience with Mil-Aero customers and/or Industrial customers a plus.

Semiconductor Program Manager - IC/ASIC/FPGA
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to play a key role in driving the growth and successful delivery of our integrated circuit solutions business. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded program leader who understands complex electronics and enjoys working at the intersection of engineering, customers, and business. You will help lead programs from customer requirements through development and delivery, ensuring technical objectives, schedules, resources, and customer expectations are aligned. The ideal candidate brings strong program management skills combined with a solid understanding of custom IC, PCB, FPGA, or ASIC design. Experience supporting Mil-Aero, government, and industrial customers is highly valued. You will work closely with engineering, business development, and customers to coordinate complex technical programs, identify and resolve challenges, communicate program status, and help ensure successful execution. If you enjoy managing challenging engineering programs, working directly with customers, and contributing to the development of advanced semiconductor solutions, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both customer success and business growth.

Essential Duties and Qualifications:
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
  • Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks
  • Report and escalation to management as needed
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills
Qualifications
  • BSEE or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a project manager
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with project management software tools
  • Experience working with Mil-Aero customers and/or Industrial customers a plus
  • Leadership qualities: Integrity, attention to detail, goal oriented, and motivated to improve.
  • Must be a self-motivated team player with the ability to work in a customer oriented, fast-paced, and demanding environment with minimal supervision.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
  • Proven working experience in project management
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal design fundamentals a plus
