Job description

Uviquity is seeking an experienced Semiconductor Process Technician to play a critical role in building the next-generation of Far UVC light engines for disinfection and other applications.

This full-time position will focus on fabrication of semiconductor devices in cleanroom environments, and will require a candidate who can work in various process and inspection roles. The candidate should be a hands-on “doer”, eager to take ownership of process challenges and execute detailed instructions with minimal oversight.

Attention to detail, excellent documentation and problem-solving abilities are required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Wafer processing on a variety of semiconductor equipment in cleanroom and research lab environments.
  • Inspection and documentation of processing results, including optical images, equipment parameters, and metrology data.
  • Perform process and inspection operations per written instructions and direction from the engineering staff.
  • Perform in-line and end-of line defect inspections to help identify leading failure modes and support yield improvements.
  • Promote a safe work environment, and employee ownership of quality and continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with a wide variety of semiconductor process technologies, including photolithography, plasma etch, thin film deposition, wet etching and/or sample grinding/polishing.
  • Ability to carefully handle small, sensitive parts in a lab environment.
  • Experience working with optical devices, MEMS, wafer-scale packaging, and/or novel substrates in a semiconductor cleanroom are preferred.
  • Knowledge of SPC, Quality Systems, and Design of Experiments are preferred.
  • Two-year technical degree in manufacturing, electronics, or a related field; and 4+ years of industry experience. Significant relevant experience will be considered.
  • Experience with both hazardous chemicals and cleanroom safety protocols are very important.
  • Strong communication skills, flexibility, and ability to work well in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.
