Job summary

Wolfspeed in Marcy, NY seeks a seasoned engineer to lead the integration of next-generation Silicon Carbide based power electronics into state-of-the-art production. You’ll drive new product life cycles from setup to optimization and yield improvements, working with R&D, Process Engineering, and Operations to ensure manufacturability and performance.

The role requires strong semiconductor process knowledge, DOE analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor environment, specifically diffusion and ion implant modules.
  • Understanding of semiconductor processes, integration, and equipment in fabrication.
  • Proficient in technical writing and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead new product and technology introduction with cross-functional teams to achieve first-pass qualification.
  • Window new processes in development and determine tuning knobs.
  • Assess manufacturability of new design specs and integration with R&D teams.
  • Analyze data to drive process efficiency and quality improvements.
  • Document transfer to manufacturing including capacity planning, OCAPs, FMEA and control plans.

This role will be responsible for new product life cycle from initial setup to product optimization and lastly yield improvements. You will work with R&D, Process Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure new products and technologies are optimized and characterized for both product performance and manufacturability.
