Job summary

Canon is seeking a Technical Course Development Trainer in the San Jose, CA area to deliver training on photolithography equipment. This full-time role requires residence near San Jose and reports to a designated worksite, five days a week.

The trainer will develop and revise technical materials, conduct both classroom and lab sessions, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure effective training and equipment usage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 3–5 years of related work experience.
• Semiconductor or photolithography equipment knowledge preferred.
• Prior technical trainer experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user training on Photolithography products.
• Provide classroom and laboratory training for internal and external customer training courses on operation, maintenance, application and installation of Canon photolithography equipment.
• Develop new internal and external technical materials and lesson plans.
• Revise existing materials to keep content current and accurate.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to implement training and maintain equipment in training facilities and cleanrooms.
• Verify accuracy of technical procedures to support field technicians and customer needs.
• Provide detailed presentations on technical topics.
• Participate in discussions to share knowledge with less experienced colleagues.
• Contact customers to discuss training needs and gather feedback on training programs.
