Job summary

NXP Semiconductors N.V. offers a summer internship for engineering students to support senior engineers in the design, development, and testing of semiconductor products.

You will gain hands-on experience with equipment, troubleshoot with maintenance teams, and conduct research and data analysis for CIP projects. You will also assist with experiments, data collection, and reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Engineering.
• Eagerness for hands on experience working directly on semiconductor equipment.
• Strong academic record and a genuine interest in semiconductors, electronics, or embedded systems.
• Basic understanding of statistical process control and six sigma concepts
• Basic understanding of digital and/or analog electronics concepts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the design, development, and testing of semiconductor products and solutions.
• Assist senior engineers or maintenance technicians with hands on troubleshooting
• Assist maintenance technicians with PMs and other routine maintenance
• Conduct research, data analysis, and documentation related to ongoing CIP projects.
• Support factory activities, including setting up and performing experiments, collecting data, analyzing, and interpreting results to drive down factory impacts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and deadlines.
• Participate in technical reviews and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
• Learn and apply industry-standard tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other project documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support engineering initiatives.
