Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. in Austin, TX is hiring a Manufacturing Technician to build, repair and test complex display and wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment.

You will perform electro-mechanical assembly, troubleshoot, and document progress, parts used, and labor. The role requires following SOPs, using test fixtures, measurement tools, leak detectors, and may involve software installs to improve processes.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma is required.
• 1–2 years of semiconductor or display experience or military experience preferred.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair and test equipment including electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations and troubleshooting.
• Receive parts, audit inventory, inspect defects, and improve processes.
• Use test fixtures, measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to test assemblies.
• Complete documentation and perform software installs when needed.
