Job summary

Air Liquide Electronics in Hillsboro, OR, seeks an Operations Support Engineer to ensure continuous, ultra-high-purity gas delivery for semiconductor processes. You will support maintenance, testing, and commissioning of gas delivery systems and assist in safety and quality controls.

The role combines hands-on mechanical work with gas analysis and system diagnostics, requiring 1–5 years of relevant experience and a willingness to travel up to 30% nationwide to customer sites and operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 1–5 years hands-on engineering/operations experience.
• Travel up to 30% nationwide for technical support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily performance of semiconductor gas distribution equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on gas plant assets and repair piping, valves, and control components.
• Set up and operate gas analysis instruments to monitor purity and generate reports.
• Diagnose electro-mechanical failures and troubleshoot in pressurized UHP environments.
• Provide installation, testing, and commissioning support for new gas delivery systems.
• Coordinate third-party contractors and ensure safety protocols during site projects.
• Provide on-call field support to minimize production downtime.
• Support operating and maintenance activities for ASU, APSA, CDA, and compressor systems.
• Assist with site spare parts inventory and write SOPs and maintenance logs.
• Follow strict LOTO, PPE, and cleanroom safety practices.
