Job summary

MACOM invites applicants for a Core Technology Intern position in Newport Beach, CA. This 12-week summer internship supports External Foundry Operations and Manufacturing Engineering, with exposure to wafer fabrication, PCM data, yield analysis, and NPI projects.

You will work with Foundry Engineering on engineering lots, WIP, data mining, and automated PCM reports, gaining hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Python programming experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze PCM data from external foundries.
• Monitor Engineering Lots (ELOTs) and wafer WIP status.
• Track wafer scrap and maintain engineering records.
• Support foundry transfer projects and qualification activities.
• Assist with data mining, trend analysis, and dashboard maintenance.
• Generate daily/weekly PCM reports and process dashboards.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Product, Test, and NPI teams.
