Job summary

Mattson Technology is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of complex semiconductor equipment. You will work at customer sites, build strong customer relationships, and ensure outages are minimized through proactive maintenance.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of field service experience in the semiconductor industry, an associate degree in electronics, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in a field service engineer role dealing directly with customers, preferably in semiconductor industry.
• Associates degree in electronics or equivalent experience in electronics field.
• Ensures all safety requirements are satisfied and current as per local and corporate requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, repair and maintain equipment at customer sites; troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems and subassemblies.
• Perform equipment upgrades.
• Develop strong customer relationships at multiple levels in the customer organization.
• Manage day-to-day service activities at assigned customer sites; schedule tasks with end users.
• Report and track activities including installations and equipment issues.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks as necessary.
